Middle School Transition

Welcome to the Middle School!  Here you will find information regarding upcoming dates and activities for transition from the elementary to the middle school. Please check back as this page will continue to update throughout the year.

There is also information links here for students who are new to our school from another school district. 

TRANSITION ACTIVITIES & DATES 2025

TBD: Elementary School Visits! MVMS principal Mr. Lynch, a group of student leaders, and a member of our school counseling staff will meet with 5th-grade classes at their elementary schools. Students will have the chance to hear a bit about the middle school as well as ask whatever questions they have about middle school life.

March 19th 6:00-7:00pm: MVMS Parent Night! This will be a time where families can meet the 6th grade teachers, counselors and administrators.  This will be a time where families can ask questions, receive information on MVMS and 6th grade.  The 2026 Slide Show is posted below.

TBD: MVMS for a Move Up Day.  This is an opportunity for  5th grade students to familiarize themselves with the building, meet students from other elementary schools and get to know the 6th grade staff.  Students will also have an opportunity to each lunch in our cafeteria.

August : Tours for Students who are new to our district. We will be offering tours led by our Student Ambassadors to 6th-8th grade students who are new to our district for the 2026-27 school year.
